Used Speed Demon 750 Double Pumper - 1402010

This is a regular gas 750 CFM Double Pumper. I bought this carb about 5 years back off eBay for ~$320+ used from a drag racer in some type of ford application. I only got around to using it 500 or so miles.
This carb appears to have had a rough life. The big hole for throttle cable on the linkage was cut when I bought it. I used a washer that I ground down and had it tacked on to repair it. It doesn't look pretty but it functioned fine with my Jegs throttle bracket and cable setup. The throttleshaft is leaking vacuum, but should be fix able if buyer puts a bushing shaft repair kit in it. The front bowl has 2 bolts that barely grab threads. It didn't leak on me, but I would recommend helicoiling them for piece of mind. I cleaned the blocks and replaced the gaskets with reuseable ones. I also replaced one of the float set screws and locking nuts because it was pretty rounded off. This carb pulled good A/F ratio on the wideband except for the throttleshaft leak which would start around 3500 and up RPMs at that point it would want to go very very lean.
It would be an excellent carb with some TLC (throttleshaft repair kit and helicoils). I got tired of messing with it and finally broke down and bought a Pro Systems 950 HP last year.
Buy it, fix it up for cheap, resale it, use it for parts, or whatever. I'm taking a pretty decent loss on this for the price I paid because I don't want to screw over a fellow TGO member with a carb that needs a little work.
$125 + Shipping.
