Trying craigslist and everything but having very little luck. I pulled my 700R4 Trans. out last week with the help of this board planning on getting a nice rebuilt replacement to pop back in from Transplant Transmissions located in Tempe, AZ
Well, fortunately right before I went in I did enough research to discover that they are not a very reputable shop to put it nicely. So now I have a car jacked way up missing a transmission when I should be driving around and having fun with my newly running 87GTA
Does anyone in AZ (phoenix area)(Prescott area) or even (kingman area) Have a solid used 700r4 with TC or preferably a rebuilt one they would sell me I'd come pick it up and have a core to exchange if you wanted it. Tired of searching craigs to find only the same shops, like transmission replant spamming it and then when there is a real one its gone before I can get to it Didn't think it would be so hard to find a replacement
If you don't have one for sell do you know of a reputable shop? My biggest problem is from other costs in the car I've only got about $700 max to pay for the transmission but preferably more around 650 for a rebuilt one. So I can't just go out and get a really nice one, I just can't afford it. The local guy here that is known for good work wants 1350 dollars to rebuild mine even though I pulled it and will be putting it back in
