Okay, I know this might be challenging, but would a LS1 from a 2002 Camaro work in my 1986 Camaro?

Sure it would. But I'll recommend reading the sticky's up at the top of this forum before anything else.

I'm using the best parts I can get my hands on to do my swap. I just about have every thing I need except the exhaust and intake. For all the swap parts so far , including the LS1/T56 , I'm right at 7000.00.
