Hello,
I juat put in a 454 in my camaro and when I go and try to start the starter will engage but it sounds like it seizes up and doesn't start. I hand turn it a few cm and then I try again and it fires right up. Do I have the wrong starter? BTW its the stock starter that came with the motor out of a 1998 suburban. This happened after I reset the motor to tdc for timing purposes. I had to reset the distributor. Thanks.

I am not exactly sure what you are trying to say but if I am guessing right. Did you take out the distributor, change its position and put it back in? Maybe you are off a tooth and everything is too advanced to start.
