I have a 400 2 bolt main small block chevy. Ive got a set of sportsman 2 heads that have been mildly ported. For my bottom end I have a stock crank, hypereutectic pistons, and 5140 eagle rods. I would like to have between 430-450 horsepower and be able to shift around six grand. And I would still like to make a bit of usable low end torque. I need some one to recommend me a cam and intake setup. And I would like to be able to run high to mid twelves in my 84 transam. Is this out of reach? I would like to run 3.23 gears but i have 3.73s because I dont think that it would be possible with anything higher than that. My transmission is a turbo 400. I have flow tech small tube headers. Well I guess thats it. Any help would be appreciated.

Try a Comp XE274H. I had that cam in my 400 for a while, it screamed. Use a Performer RPM intake and a 750 CFM carb.
