i just put a set of hedman shorties in my 84 camaro. is it worth putting the factory y pipe back on or by aftermarket, or let the exhaust shop fab up a y pipe? local shops want 150 for a y pipe?i won't be rinning a cat so it will be 3in from the y pipe to a flowmaster delta flow.

If the shop will do a decent, mandrel-bent job, with 2-1/2" downpipes and 3" after the two come together, then it would be worth it to have them do the job. The Hedman pipe costs a little less than that, but isn't the best design (from what I've heard and pictures I've seen - I've never put eyes on one).
