Thats it? Its just the pipe diameter?
Seems stupid to categorize them as V6 or V8... Why not just put the pipe diameter?
Oh well.

Because people looking through summit aren't going to know which are good flow sizes for their exhaust, and inevitably buy the V8 pipes for their V6, and then complain to summit about how adding an exhaust lost their power.

The dynomax system I had bought for my 87 Sport Coupe V6 was also listed for LG4 cars, same cat hook up and diameter pipe. Was 2.5"

That makes sense TheScaryOne.
I want to go with a 2.5" for my V6 anyway, just because they usually cost less and I don't plan on adding so much horsepower that I'll need a 3" but anywho...I was just wondering.
Thanks for the replies.
