Hello I was tinking of making a custom shaker hood out of my stock TA hood--who had some advice on this ?

I say do a search. There's a thread called "shaker assembly on a thirdgen". I love this thread. I ordered myself a '78 TA shaker hood scoop, and I will be mounting it the same way this guy did. That and a few other threads and you'll have all the info you need.
