Have a 8 point roll bar in my car and my door bars are kind of a pain to get over with the steering wheel even in the highest position. Is it possible to make the factory steering wheel removable or will I need to buy a new steering wheel? Anyone do this before? Thanks guys!

Im in the same situation as you. Im going the modified street look so I dont mind replacing the steering wheel, as such, Im getting an adapter that goes from factory bolt pattern to sparco, and then getting the sparco quick disconnect, and finally a sparco steering wheel. Heres the links.

Unless your door bars are x-ed, convert them to swing out bars. It will make getting in and out much easier.
Back when I still used a relatively stock steering column, it was a tilt column. With a basic 6 point roll bar, the tilt made getting in and out easy. When I swapped the column to a non tilt to shave weight, getting in and out became very difficult. I stripped the non tilt column down to just a shaft and installed a quick coupler for the steering wheel. With a full cage and x-ed door bars, it's the only way to get in and out of the car. With no interior, it doesn't matter how it looks.
