What are your results of your chassis bracing?
Is there anyone who has a fully braced chassis without a roll cage, who can tell me how the car feels when you drive it? (Street car not race car)
I am talking about a car with
inner sfc
outer sfc
wonder bar
strut tower brace
lower control arms
panhard bar
torque arm
maybe a k member and maybe tubular control arms
and everything else you can add to the stock chassis to make it stiffer without putting a roll cage.
I am trying to decide if this will be as strong as a modern car, or if it will still be a flexible flyer with squeaks and rattles. Do the doors still shake? Is there any flex left in it? How much? Can you get out of a modern car and into the third gen without noticing a difference in chassis stiffness?
Thanks...
I have had 13 of these cars and can't stand them anymore but can't give up the good looks and need to do something about it. Especially on the convertibles with lots of torque.

After my subframe connectors were installed, the car felt much better and did not rattle as much.

While I don't have every part on your list, I do have weld in subframes and also an STB. The subframes (global west weld ins) made a huge difference in the car - from no more creaks when going over turns to making the car feel much more solid and improving handling a small amount. The STB also made the front end feel super stiff and eliminated all noises when hitting bumps. Both are certainly worthwhile.
Control arms, panhard rod, and TQ arm are considered suspension components, not chassis BTW. i do have GW rear CA and panhard rod in my car - certainly helps plant the rear end much better than stock - less oversteer. I never installed the GW TQ arm I bought a few years back (still on the shelf), but from what I hear any aftermarket TQ arm is going to be much better than the stock stamped steel POS.
