I recently picked up a '84 T/A for a project car. I want to verify theat the VIN on the car matches the title I received before I start spending money... but the VIN in the windsheild seems to be corroded and thus illegible, and there is no plate on the door / doorframe that I can detect. Any help on at least one other location for the VIN?
Thanks a lot!

On the inner fenders and rear hatch area each piece of metal that was welded or bolted on has the vin # on them.
The VIN should be on the RPO label in the console.

Also look on your motor behind the right valve cover about water pump height, the last few(6 I think) didgets of your Vin are there. These should match the Vin you find on the body. Then you will know if you have an original motor.
