I parted a car a while back, and this set of bags was in the back. Now I know they're not thirdgen bags, but I'm not sure what car they came on originally. I'm thinking 2nd gen, but they could just as easily be Corvette or something else. Note the GM and Fisher body logos. Obviously someone thought these were correct for a thirdgen... I just want to know so I can sell them back into the proper market.

Drew, I can't say for sure, but I remember having a 3rd gen that had both logos on it. I called my dad and he said his 82 Z28 has the one pictured above. He said it has both logos on it, has a velcro flap with a white felt liner.

Re: T-top bag ID
The early thirdgen bag used a flap with velcro, has both logos, two divided pockets, and the straps... These are different... There are two separate bags (only one shown, both are identical), no velcro, no straps, both logos. A Thirdgen T-top will barely fit in these bags.

Here's a couple more pics to illustrate the size...

Fiero's, G-bodies, Mustangs, all had C&C t-tops, therefore they shouldn't have the GM/Fisher logos.

G Bodies did not have factory t tops? They look like factory installs. I think their bags were separate for each t top.

Re: T-top bag ID
Good question... I just went out and dug around a bit and it looks like G-bodies could be had with factory or C&C t-tops. So I suppose it's possible they're from a G-body with GM t-tops.

Re: T-top bag ID
I had to dig a bit more but I found some pics of late 70's F-body bags, and that looks to be what they are. The mid-80's G-body bags I was able to find have square corners, and no Fisher logo, just the GM logo. So I'm guessing these are out of a 2nd gen. Now I just need to figure out what they're worth so I can sell them for a fair price.

Way back, wife had a 79 Camaro, and the 2 bags looked just like those.

Re: T-top bag ID
First car was a 79 T/A. Had those bags. Keep in mind to list them as Fischer body bags, because hurst hatches were available on the earlier 2nd gens which had smaller hatches. Any damage at all? I know mine had holes in them from mice and there was mice crap inside them, but yours look brand new in the pics.

They're a little dusty and dingy, but yeah the vinyl and the fleece or whatever it is, is in nice shape. I'm a little shocked they're that old. I've seen thirdgen bags in a lot worse shape.

you might be able to use light duty leather cleaner on them to get the dust off, but do not use any armor all crap. They use silicones in they're products that dry out and crack plastics and vinyls. My opinion is you could sell em' for at least $50 a piece, I say individually because someone may be wanting just the left or Right.
