Hey thats Tim's car! I checked this thing out in person when Tim had it. Very nice car! The inside is absolutely mint! The only thing wrong with it is its an automatic. Enjoy that rare gem Ace!

89 Turbo Trans Am with 72 Original Miles
This car was at Trans Am Nationals last weekend. If you've never been to the Nationals, I highly recommend it. Show quality has really improved during the last few years.

The owner was very nice. The owner's friend also had a TTA with 7,800 original miles. It wasn't at the show though.
Car is a true time capsule. And, I don't know the car #, I forgot to ask I was so overwhelmed by it.
Here's a different TTA, it had just at 1,000 Original Miles.

The extremely low mile TTA is #822. I knew he was bringing it to the Nats and was very excited to see it. It is an excellent example of what those cars looked like off the showroom. Very cool car and super nice owner.
I took some pictures of it also and went and looked at it several times over the weekend.
The third gen competition this year was amazing. Good to see the hobby for this generation is expanding.

I remember back in the day these TTAs just sat on dealers lots. they were like 30K and not many would pay that price for them then. some didnt like the price and others like me didnt like the color. I always liked TAs in black only but maybe that was just me. more than likely it was. Many other colors sold as wellOriginally Posted by 86TA355SR

Did you notice the Passenger fender was painted a different color? it looked like it was the wrong white... The fender color would have been perfect on the 1984 sitting next to it... Too bad really

72 miles on that TTA? While it's an awesome site to behold, it's a shame in the same token. Like having a thoroughbred stallion and not having it ridden for fear of it breaking a leg. A sig on here I saw, forget who, said it best. "Not driving your car so it's more appealing to the next buyer is like not having sex with your girlfriend so she's more appealing to her next boyfriend" I drive my car and enjoy it. Screw the next guy, though there never will be one.

I'm going to add pictures of some really fine 3rd Gen Trans Ams from TA Nats last August. I'll describe the cars as I can remember. All of them were well under 50K miles, the limit for this thread.
If one of these cars belongs to you, and you don't want it in this thread, PM me and I'll remove it.

Above: The 87 TA has less than 15K miles. The GTA was a low mile car also, a prior class winner.

Above: This 87 had less than 17K miles. A prior class winner.

Above: My friend's beautiful 91 GTA. A class winner this year and a prior year, not to mention a few second places. This car is stunning and has been well kept as evidenced from the great detailing. Just turned 40K miles.

Above: An awesome 87 GTA with 40K miles. Anyone notice it's a paddle mirror car?

Above: This beautiful 87, different from the one above, was really nice. Don't remember the exact mileage, but it was less than 50K miles. I was really impressed by both grey GTAs, they were great examples of the rare grey color.

Above: Of course, I had to include my red 88 at Tipp City.

My worn out buddy at the end of Nationals-on his own queen bed at the hotel. Can you say spoiled? But we love him...
There were a bunch of other great 3rd Gens there but I can't remember all the information about them. I was really impressed by the number and quality of 3rd Gens at the show this year.

An AWESOME museum. You really should make the time to see it while in the area.
I'd like to make it down next year, at least as a spectator.

Here is my 1988 iroc z28. Not the best looking. All org. But the hood.
Sorry pictures did not turn out right.
Sorry pictures did not turn out right.I don't see that as a low mile car. The front end has been repainted and the turn signals are hazed over. Your car probably has 107k miles, not 7k miles as you are showing.
Hi, Here is the history that was told to me about the car and title. I bought the car in 2005 from the original owners son. His father had passed away a few months before. I was told the car was bought new by his father. And that the garage it was stored in was build just for the car. Also that it was not driven a lot. And never taken out in bad weather. He told me that he the son. Had changed the hood and took off the back window louvers and still had then stored if i wanted them. I never went back to get them. I was looking for a 1978 z28 camaro at the time. Never gave any thought to or even knowing anything about iroc's. I just happen to see this one for sale at the same time for a good price and close to were i live. So after getting it i started to research the cars. After looking at a lot of them i seen were the headlights are. Is painted black and wondered why mine was not? As far as the mileage the original title had 5,300 miles on it when given to me. I did run the vin and it came back as a 1988 iroc. I am very interested in hearing why you think that the mileage on the car is 107k and not 7k? Like i said in the beginning i am only going by what was on the title and told to me by the owner when i bought the car. Also the car has been setting in a stone floor garage for the pass 4 years because i had to have two spine surgery's. And had been unable to start or move the car. Maybe that's why the turn signals are fogged over not sure. They were not like that when the car was bought. Hope to hear back from you soon.

One thing I notice is the wheels are really clean... Someone has taken care of the car, or at least cleaned it up really well...
The front may have been bumped, thus the repainted front facia, and the hood.
If it was me I would try to get the hood and the rear louvers they will add to the value of the car regardless of the miles.

A clean pic of the drivers seat, the underside and under the hood will tell us for sure....

There was a man without a plan... Let us go steal a Car, hide it in my Garage for 20 years... Why oh Why would you go through that trouble without having some sort of plan to ditch it?? Or is it the fact that he wanted it so bad that he could not part with it. What was this guys deal? He couldn't sell it, not without a title...Originally Posted by k.lakeman

Okay, it has been a while since there has been an update on this thread, it's time for an update
I recently bought a '92 Z28 1LE with the Heritage Z03 option from a friend and fellow member of this site. Until a few years ago, I never knew you could get a car with both of those options, I think it's a great combo. It's a 1-owner car until a few months ago, 5k miles, L98 car that is very original. I'm having a great time with it, I have done some detailing and replaced a few fuel system and rubber components. It was maintained incredibly well by the original owner over the years, he did a fantastic job! Car is really quick for a stock original car, I love it! Here are some pics

Thanks for the compliments everyone!! I still have a little more detailing to it, it needs more work on the inner wheel wells under the hood, but i'm happy with the results so far. I took it out for a nice drive to get ice cream with the family yesterday and met up with a few friends that also took out their Camaros.

Anyone else have any new low mile cars to post?
I would seriously like some more underside pictures of the suspension... I like the paint on the steering idler arm... never seen that before... Also the fact that it is all bare steel under there, without rust is amazing, simply amazing... Now I know what color I should paint mine when I go through it.Originally Posted by ev305tpi
Thanks for the compliments everyone!! I still have a little more detailing to it, it needs more work on the inner wheel wells under the hood, but i'm happy with the results so far. I took it out for a nice drive to get ice cream with the family yesterday and met up with a few friends that also took out their Camaros.
