My '91 had a recall for possible cracks (bad weld/braze) around the filler neck/tank junction. The fuel tank in mine was replaced under that recall.

 

Not a glamour shot but here's my 1991 5.7L G92, just squeaking in at 47,xxx miles.

 

A little over the 50k limit. Just picked up this 1991 Firebird Base. 3.1L Auto. Red with Black interior. One owner car. It was a parade car in the 1991 Portland Grand Floral Parade.

Came out from Denver to Vancouver, WA to pick her up. In the course of talking to the owner I found out he is dating my daughters godmother. Didn't know that when I first found the car on Craigslist. It's a small world.

bought the car on ebay in 2010, with low mileage, was supposedly in perfect running condition. turns out it had sat for nearly two decades and EVERYTHING needed to be overhauled. so i said **** it and built it up how i wanted it.

car has stock L98, scat forged rods, hi-silicon pistons, ZZ4 cam, aluminum Vortec (Fast Burn) heads, Edelbrock Vortec manifold, AS&M large tube runners, SLP CAI, stock TB w/air foil, Accel 24lb Injectors, Walbro 255 fuel pump, 1.5 roller rockers, Fluidampr, custom chip, Dyno Don Headers, ORYP, Hooker Cat Back (Monza double dual tips - Hooker tips were garbage), Transgo shift kit, Corvette servo, BMR torque arm, Hotchkis upper/lower control arms/panhard rod, Alston SFCs, wonder bar, SSBC 1LE front brakes...
Hawks fiberglass aero wing. Stock 3.27 gears (9-bolt), TA Performance diff cover. probably going to get a stall converter. probably a few other odds and ends and minor things.

Lecarra thick grip leather steering wheel has been ordered. getting it with black spokes is taking some time.

so, the mileage is low, but it isnt exactly "stock." certainly stock appearing though, i think.

89 Turbo Trans Am, 10K original miles!



This car was incredible. Festival car with cloth interior. All stock, down to the original Goodyear Gators. The guy drove it 2 hours to the show before I took these pictures.

I am going to have a TTA some day!

I am planning to do a bunch of work to it next week. I bought a new ACC carpet for it three years ago... I pulled the interior apart and will install it while on vacation. Cant wait to get it back together and take it on a fall cruise.

 

Poo, my old girl has 63K miles on it ..... didnt make the cut (white GTA)

My low mile baby is going into long term storage tomorrow. prepping it and getting it ready. I plan to store it for 3-5 years. I will be a climate controlled building a friend owns with lots of space and clear of rodents. I will miss her but I have a lot going on in life and want to keep it nice while I do other things. Saving her for my Son one day. I may be 50 when I take it back out. I am 45 now and was surprised with a grandson. I will be staying on the site and keeping up on the forums but off the car show circuit.

I will stay around cause its an addiction Love these cars and always will.
Just need a break from having mine use up the garage. only went to one show this year. I just dont have the time. I drove it about 45 min away from home to where it will be stored. I had gas in the tank and drove it hard. the temp hit 220 so yeah I had some fun Just hard to leave her and hope nothing goes wrong (mice etc) used dryer sheets etc.

 

Glad you'll be sticking around!! I know what you mean about the time.... Make sure to try to fire her up and let her run to temperature at least 4 times a year... bad things happen when they sit idle. I'm having issues with 2 of mine right now from letting them sit so long...

Gottcha.... This whole web site has been a little frustrating for me but I have finally figured out the photos, etc. Yes, I already posted my baby for sale in the classifieds. It seems like most people browsing the classifieds for looking for modified, not all OEM vehicles so I figured it was worth mentioning again in an area where people were interested in OEM with low miles.

Thats fine as long as it doesn't become a sale thread. There are people wanting original vehicles on here.. I looked for 3 years on here before I purchased one. almost got one from a member but he didn't check back and money was burning a hole in my pocket and I found a more fun car closer. (19K rather than 42K and a 5 speed over auto)

It's nowhere near as nice as the other cars in this thread but it is low mileage. Here is a 1987 firebird that I used to own with 42k miles on it. Car was sitting for ten years before being purchased at an estate sale. Here is the day I got it home.
