I assume these are from a Firebird/TA. I know that Camaros had the L/S Conteur on the driver's side only from, perhaps 83 through 86. These seats would appear to be too nice to have survived from that era.

I think there 82-84 firebirds/ta. I have the same ones in my 84 and are in pretty good condition, same with the split rear seats.

i have many sets of seats out of 82 and 84 s/e's and t/a's and z28s and they are nothing like those at all, totally different

those are some odd looking seats there

good luck

Forgot to mention that there doesn't appear to be a provision for seat belt guides on the head rests. I don't believe they are from a Camaro by the way.

In ten years of junkyard hiking I've seen one set, in a early 80's T/A (82-83).
I'm pretty sure 84 T/A's with the L/S adjustments used the same style seats as the later Firebirds...

With the tu-tone seat pattern(I agree James i don't think Camaro either especially with this)and having the split rear seats('84 and later I believe)I would think those seats came from a '85 to '88 T/A or Formula.Although the color combo would look at home in a Buick GN.

After thinking about it a bit more, I remembered that several years ago I looked at an all original heavily used 83 T/A L69/auto. Everything on the car was original, but the steering wheel was worn to the steel rim, the seats were worn to the steel frames, the entire body was eaten by rust, etc... It had the same fully adjustable seats with the square Camaro'ish looking headrest. I'd consider them correct for 83, and maybe 82...

The seats in the picture are out of a 1983 or 1984 Firebird S/E or T/A. I don't know if you could order them in a base 'bird.

....I made pics from a 1983 brochure....those are Lear Siegler seats

"Seats, Lear Siegler adjustable custom bucket (luxury interior group required)"...they were optional available on Firebird, Trans Am, Firebird S/E

Many thanks, PontiacV8. Since these are L/S Conteurs, I assume that with Camaro seat-tracks these would bolt-up to my IROC. I say that because on both the above seats the original outside track (IIRC) is off-set an inch or so; the inside track bolts directly under the seat mounting points just like a Camaro.

There doesn't appear to be a provision for seat-belts in the headrests. How were belts rigged in those years?

Camaro/Firebird seats use the same tracks... the only difference is power vs manual, and 2-way vs 4-way. The seat belt guides were on the headrests from 1982-1992, the only exception are some convertibles that didn't have seat belt guides at all.

Judging from the lack of seat belt guides, and the different tracks, it sounds like you've got seats out of a different Pontiac. That said, most GM bucket seats use the same mounting on the bottom of the seats, just swap to fbody tracks and you're ready to install.

The seat belt guides aren't apparent in the photos provided by PontaicV8, but it is an advert. I can, however, use my current headrests if need be.

I checked this morning. The track to seat bolt holes line-up, so as you suggest, Drew, simply swapping on my seat tracks will eliminate any problems.

Definitely an earlier thirdgen Firebird seat, at least available as late as 1985. They were in an '85 TA I found in a junkyard last week. I reported the car and its VIN in the 'dead thirdgen' thread. It was an L69/5-speed/3.70-9-bolt-posi-disc car, not that that would matter for getting those seats though, I wouldn't think.

Did the L/S Conteur in TA's ever have a power provision on the pass side similiar to the Camaro driver's side (Note the pod that houses the electric controls on my driver's side seat):
