I have access to an (86?) Firebird that has a NON Air Conditioning heater system in it. This is only the second Bird I have ever seen up close that has a NON AC heater system factory installed. It looked to be complete and I have already priced the parts.
Is ANY ONE using ThirdGen.Org interested in buying this set-up ?? If so than feel free to make an offer for it. I know that Camaro guys like installing the NON-AC set-ups but don't know how much of a market there is on the Fire bird side. ( & I can't afford to buy it and store it right now ) Anyone can bolt a non AC box to the firewall - It takes someone with a few more stones to completely convert the system.
If anyone is interested than make me an offer for it. If it's worth my while than I'll pull it out and sell it to Ya'. If you post your ZIP CODE than I can use a different dash housing to get shipping quotes before doing anything else. If your interested and the shipping quotes are reasonable I would need to get paid in advance ( He's not going to let me take the parts on my word that I will return !) and given about a week to get everything removed / packaged / & mailed to you.
The engine & tranny were already pulled and the interior wasn't in very good shape. ( Ripped seats, trash on rear seats and in hatch ) I plan on pulling a front spring from this car next week & figure the car will only be around for about 2-3 weeks. This guy crushes everything ---> quick !
P.S. The Black lower dash "hush" panels were gone - but the grey plastic one holding the VENT cables under the Steering Wheel is there. I was also able to see the driver and pass vent boxes were still installed under the dash since the hush panels were gone. The Heater box looked fine and the pod mounted controls were still installed.
If your interested make offers based on the whole system minus the driver and passenger lower hush panels. ( includes the Dash housing, Interior and exterior heater boxes, Vent boxes under dash for each side, Dash Wiring Harness, Heater wiring harness, Non-AC Controls. )
