I'm looking to replace my carpet and I have 4th gen Trans Am gray seats so they are darker than the stock seats. I have a medium dark gray interior, and I'm trying to decide if I should get carpet as close to the original color or if maybe I should go a little darker. I also have 4th gen seat belts matching the color of the seats and some factory 3rd gen medium dark gray leather door panels (which I will not destroy). Here's some pictures of my interior:





What should I do?

I agree. Those 4th gen seats are still a good color match for the stock carpet. If you go much darker, your interior plastics and the seats will stick out too much.

I went with grey sky. It is just a little darker than factory. I thought it matched pretty good.

Close to stock color it is then! Maybe one day I can have some custom door panels made with the leather part matching the 4th gen leather color.

Black goes well with any color
