There shifter plate in an 85-92 Firebird with a t5

I am swapping one in, and want to know how big to make the hole in center console! Thanks so much!

Mine was 6.5" x 4.25" ...with the corners nice and rounded off. i could probably take a picture of it sometime if you want it.

6.5" long nd 4.25" wide?
