I'm missing all the plastic's in my 83 TA, and down the road from me a junk yard has a 89 GTA with a perfect interior in a car with no title so I was going to strip the interior out of it and use it in mine, carpet plastics everything but dash, I believe everything should fit anyone know of anything that wouldnt.

All 3rd gens are a physical swap.
But you will encounter several wiring differences in the gauges & controls.

Thanks, I just wanted to know not using the dash outta it just the plastics and carpet. I have everything already hooked up for a 4th gen cluster anyhow. Tomorrow I will go buy them was just worried spacing might be a little different on like the kick panels and trunk pieces.

When you get to the rear 2 quarter panel pieces, you should have the rear shoulder seat belt openings for the 89, which don't exist in the earlier years.
So, you'll have openings, but no belts to put in them, even if you get the belts too. There is no sheet metal mounting surface for them.

this would be the biggest difference between them. I found a very mint interior set from an 89 firebird that I installed in my 1984 though... It was in such good shape and I planned to use 4th gen leather seats and 4th gen seatbelts, so I cut the rear shoulder mounts out of a 3rd gen and welded them into my 84. That was a lot of work though and there were many small tweaks that had to be made. They still sit a little too high, but not too bad.Originally Posted by Stephen
