I recently came into this 86 Irok Z28 via trade. I have a couple questions im hopping someone might be able to help with. First im having steering column issues. It moves up and down quite a bit. Its almost like its bolted but its not. Has anyone repaired these before or know of a helpful source for me to use to fix it? Second my Irok has red and white leather seats front and rear. From what I've read leather wasn't an option in 86. Is this true possibly? They look like camaro seats so they have to be stock or stock from a different year camaro i would guess. If anyone has some knowledge on anything I've listed please let me know. Im new to these third gen camaros so im trying to get as much info as i can.

Stupid predictive text.
There is no Camaro I know of that had factory two tone red/white leather seats. Solid color leather was available, but not until 1987, and never in great quantities.
As far as your steering column issue, this is very common with all 1970-90s GM cars. Apparently something just needs to be tightened in the tilt column, but it's usually something I'd leave to the professionals as it requires tearing down the whole steering column.

I know there was an anniversary edition one that had two tone leather but the only ones i sw were blue and white. As far as the steering im glad to hear its common. That means lots of ppl will know what the issue is
Your steering column prob. needs a bit of TLC and a little tightening job on a few
