I am having issues finding replacement fabric for my 1988 IROC. Everything that is available seems be a Madrid Velour which is different from the Twill/Tweed material that is in the car. The pattern is the same but the original material is not velour. If I replace the seat coverings then I will need to replace the door panels because the color and feel will be different. I am looking for any suggestions of where I might find the original material or any other solution that will keep me from having to recover the door panels also. Thanks in advance.

 

Most of what you will find will be a little "off". The only source that I am aware of for factory matching material is from Princess at Lethal Interiors. She had access to original GM material. While certainly not cheap, it is top notch work and will be perfect. The other source would be trying to find a used set in really good shape. Some colors are harder to find than others, but they are out there if you look hard enough and are willing to spend the money for it. Curious, what color interior fabric are you looking for? Standard or Custom pattern?

 

Princess does/did have access. Redid my 89 Beechwood seats a few years ago. Ended up NOT going with that material and did something custom, but she did have access to it.

 

The color is a silver/black diagonal patterned twill material, It is the standard Deluxe Interior, I will try to contact Princess tomorrow. Thanks for your input,
