is it possible at all to use my existing fuel tank (1989 pontiac trans am GTA TPI 5.7L) and just swap the fuel pumps out...I have a 98 camaro steel tank..just wondering if I can swap the just the pump and leave the sending unit....that way the guage still reads correct..

sorry I'm a little new to this message board...one question...what is the reason I have to use the corvette regulator/filter assembly..the LS1 i have already has its own regulator on the fuel rail..right?? neways thanks for the help..

No, the LS1 regulator is in the tank pick-up.
For Corvettes, it's built into the fuel filter.
For Corvettes, it's built into the fuel filter.
