Hey all,
I've put this on the LS1Tech.com board, but thought i'd put it here too in case someone has experienced a similar situation.
I've got a 92 Camaro LS1/4L60E and recently got the CEL P0785 which corresponds to a malfunctioning 3-2 downshift solenoid. I dropped the pan, and replaced the 3-2 downshift solenoid, along with the A and B solenoids and called it a day. Hooked everything back up, closed the pan, added fluid, started, checked fluid levels, and topped off.
After I backed the car off the ramp, I got the same error message
So, with that said the typical problems are a short (i'm hoping for that) in the harness or a bad PCM. Engine/Transmission are 98' Firebird parts. I could swap PCM's, but would rather not spend the $$ if that's not going to be the problem, so I want to check continuity on the 4L60E harness for the 3-2 downshift solenoid to ensure it hasn't grounded out somewhere.
Has anyone else on here encountered a similar problem? And if so, what did you replace to fix it...I wanna drive the tar out of this car again!

Not necessarily a short. Could be an open.
