Sooooo... I purchased a remote radio control pad off of eBay. It's in immaculate condition, but the rubber pad part is gray. I've owned two 1988 GTAs throughout the years with this stereo and steering wheel option and the pads were always black like the rest of the leather covered rim. In fact, I've never seen any of the used GTAs or Turbo TAs on the market with a gray pad. What gives? Did Pontiac offer this steering wheel option without the black leather on the rim? I know the steering wheel without the black leather is gray underneath. Maybe this is the case? I dunno. Any of you guys have a gray pad like this?

It's likely from a Pontiac 6000 or a Bonneville. The gray cover can be swapped for the original black one to make it correct. The electronics are the same.
