What tint % is illegal in iowa, SD, and MN.
I don't know about IA but I do know for a fact that ists 50% for front and sides and about 0% on the front. I know because I asked a state patrolman and I mentioned that its a $112 ticket. its not a moving violation though, but it is a fix it ticket.

Yes, MN is only at 50%. But how many times have you been pulled over for being darker? I have been at 30-35% and never had a problem with MN police.

From what I understand, you really only need to worry about, if you will indeed worry, the laws in the state that your car is registered in. From talking to our state police here in MI, they (the MI state troopers) won't really bug you if they see you're from out of town.
