I currently own an '89 Firebird Formula. The body is in great shape, but the engine is blown. I don't have enough money to replace the engine, nor do I have anywhere to keep it (i'm going back to school in august and the parents want it out of the yard by then). I have a few questions to those of you who would be kind enough to answer-how much could i get for the rolling chassis? Perhaps it would just be better to part it out? Any help with this situation would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I got a 86 Camaro rolling chassis, with a blown engine, for 700. that was a Berlinetta Sport Coupe. The interior wasn't that great, pretty dirty.

What motor was in it? was it a formula 350 or just the 305? You could probably get more by parting it out but would probably take a while and alot of work. If it needs to be gone in August your best off selling it whole. Chances are you won't get 1000 for it unless its in pretty much mint condition. How many miles are on the body? Post it here with pics and more information and you might even find a buyer.
Just for reference the car in my sig was $1600 last year with 120k on it and fresh paint. Ran great and still does.

is it the same engine that you have in your profile under your name?? if so what is wrong with it?? might not be as bad to fix it

Yeah if thats the engine in your sig it would definitely be worth it to fix. Otherwise you could get a good price to the right buyer. The post I made about the price was based on a stock engine.
