I think the Title is a pretty accurate description...so how do I do it?
Basically what I'm wanting to do is keep the Halo headlights on my truck on for 30-60 minutes after I turn off the truck, then have them turn off automatically so it doesn't drain the battery. Does anybody have any suggestions/links/devices that'll accomplish my mission?
I tried asking on the electronics board, but because my question was about my truck and not my camaro, and something about a B-52H not being road legal (I assure you it is, infact, road legal, except for that whole weight limit thing) Trickster locked my post

i've seen some beemers having that feature. maybe but whatever relay they're using?
thats one thing i was thinking, but nobody on the beamer boards seemed to know what i was talking about. I was kind of hoping that there'd be a pre-made module or something for people with neon underbody lights, but so far, nothing.

All the new rides do it thru a module which would cost you high $$$ and not very practical.
All you need is some kind of timed device or timer style relay to run it off of for a predetermined time and then shut down.
Hit an electronic parts catalog and see what u can come up with.
Make sure its heavy duty as headlites and the like can draw quite a load.

I finally found something that'd work, it's a multifunction relay module and it's a programmable IC controlled timer, only $25 shipped and i found it at http://www.hobbytron.com/vk8015.html if anyone else ever needs anything similar
