After installing the new oil sending unit, I discovered I do have oil pressure...
So I made it to the track after all Friday night. And to be honest I was blown away. My first pass I ran 14.79@92mph with a 2.18 60ft!! I couldn't believe it. I really expected to run maybe high 14's. But not 14.79. I only got to run twice and the second time I didn't hook for crap, pulled a 2.26 60ft. and went 14.90@91mph. But 14.79 with a stock Iroc with only catback exhaust is good enough for me. Still has BOTH cats on it too....for now.

Those times are about exactly what my stock 89 Iroc ran a few years ago. My only mods were a flowmaster and K&N's. Put a set of decent headers on and drop another 3 tenths. I would even consider putting a Stealth Ram on a stock L98 for awesome e.t. gains. There's a guy here in Indy that knocked off almost .4 of a sec and gained 3mph with a Stealth Ram on a stock TPI camaro. Those would be my first mods if I were to do things over.
Actually I'd like to get an HSR and some exhaust, I think w/some drag radials prob be runnin 13.60's at least. I gained 4 tenths on my '88 with crappy autozone 1 1/2" headers. And the HSR is rated for a full half second over the stock TPI. Hopefully we'll find out soon.
