Question on door bars

I was thinking of using these weld in tube clamps to make the door bar removable when driving the car on the street. First saw them being used in the desert off-road trucks so they should be able to take some pounding. Seems to me these would be a little better than a regular swingout kit that uses a single pin on either end. This has a lot more surface area for a really solid connection. It can be many times stronger than the CE swing out kit but if it isn't approved...

Would it say in the rulebook? Thinking of emailing the tech person at the track I frequent.

I don't believe NHRA approves that. Never seen it in the rulebook, only the pins.

humm ok I'll run it by the tech guy just for chits and giggles. Was thinking of bending up some tube this weekend to at least get started on putting a rollbar in the car.

i'm gonna run those when i put in my door bars.. for some reason, i just couldnt find them online.. but i dont need door bars.. heck, i dont even need the 10pt less door bars in my car right now.. not even in the 11's yet.. but i dont see why they wouldnt allow them
