I ran across this article on the main page:

https://www.thirdgen.org/slptpibuild-hpp-feb89

In this article they mention disconnecting the EGR for the track. Does this work? Has anyone tried it? Do you pull off the vaccum line and plug the hose with a machine screw? Just wondering what the theory behind this is, and if it will actually do anything noticable to drop ET's.

Here's a direct quote from the article:

"Then we moved on to the intake's EGR valve. We unplugged the thing. After feeling a difference immediatly, we stopped into the local auto parts store and purchased a 160-degree thermostat, which we installed in seven minutes."

I'm just curious if this would be a good track only mod like a short belt.

EGR is not on during WOT so there will be NO difference

That's what I was thinking too. But, was curious to see if there was anything else I hadn't thought of.
