Well, I'm back...

First off, I had a great time. It was awesome to get to meet all the new guys, to get pulled over by 7 cops, see all the cars cruising, etc. It was a great weekend, just ended to quick!

I figured I would be changing a fuel filter like tomarrow to see if that fixes my restriction problem, but, I think it is going to be more serious work for me tomarrow.

On the way back from the cruise today my transmission started acting funny, and it just got worse on my way home. This one boggles my mind, and I cant decide on what the culprit could be.

It will rev to about 4k before it shifts from 1st from 2nd, then, about the same from 2nd to 3rd, and it bangs into gear. When it started acting like this, I would need to be going about 69-72MPH before it would go into OD. As the trip went on, it almost seemed like it was getting slightly better, the last time I accelerated from a stop, it would go into OD at 60, and shifted nice and firm like usual. The one thing Im thinking is maybe there is something clogged in there? I havent changed the fluid since I got the car (15k miles) because the previous owner had the reciept for having it done one month before I bought it.

So, perhaps fresh fluid/filter and a flush, and adjust the TV cable? I am really at a loss right now, Im tired, and I still have one article for work to write.

Other than that, Ill upload my pics tonight, and let you guys know where they are when they are done *read - all night long*

Yeah, no kidding. But now, I am more confused than before. I got up and figured I would adjust the TV cable, and take it for a spin around the "block". So, I got onto 101, and it shifted into 2nd normally, then, into 3rd, and I just gave it really light pedal, and it shifted into OD at around 40-45. I was like... Reverse seems to act normal also, no SLAMMING into gear when I shift into it. Im not totally satisfied with it just yet, so shortly I am going to call the parts store and get a fuel filter (because it is hesitating still) and everything to change the fluid/filter.

My plan had been that when I changed the fluid on it I was going to put a shift kit in it as well. Not sure if I want to waste my money on that if the tranny is just going to go out on me. So, cross your fingers for me, and especially for Schultzy.

You can always use the shift kit in another tranny if yours ends up needing replaced, can't you?

Yeah, I suppose I could. I'll get there when I get there I guess.
