HSR Problem: Figured out.

Well, after messing with my Fuel Pressure, IAC, and TPS, I FINALLY hooked up a timing light to make sure that I had set my base timing correctly when I put the engine back together. Guess what? I was WAY OFF!

Instead of being at 6 degrees BTDC, I was retarded 4 degrees ATDC. WOW.

As soon as I rotated the distributor, my idle came back up about 100 RPM, and I KNEW I had found the source of my rough running problem.

I have been running today at 6 degrees BTDC, and WOWEE! Did that ever wake up my car!!! I am very happy with the Stealth Ram now, together with my other mods. Still more tweaking, but I am MILES ahead of where I was. The car ROARS and pulls like CRAZY. :driving:

Moral of the story: Always check your base timing with a timing light on these cars!!!

That would be the FIRST thing anyone would do after starting a engine that the dist has been taken out of
No way can you drop a dist in a engine and THINK timing is correct
