New ZQ8 wheels on thirdgen?! Has anybody seen or does anyone have pics of these wheels on a thirdgen? I really want to see them. http://www3.sympatico.ca/jatchison/i-1_B_L.jpe They look pretty mint on this chevelle! http://www3.sympatico.ca/jatchison/2_chevelle.jpg Thanx to darblienad for the pic! |
BTW there is a set on ebay right now if someone wants to try it! |
The cat is out of the bag!!!! I was holding on to that idea!!!! Not that I'm the only one with good ideas of course!:D I haven't seen them yet either. GM wants $600 a piece:eek: They would look pretty cool though. |
my buddy robertg a mod on TGO has photochopped em on his camaro..it looks perty sweet...i like those wheels. |
those rims are mint. they look good on everything i have seen them on. that chevelle is from the North America auto show, and has a LS6 crate engine in it. the one that makes 405 hp in the Z06 vette. maybe some one can photoshop those rims on to a 3rd gen. cause i think they would look great. |
pace parts has them 600 a set i plan on a purchase |
hmm I had this idea awhile ago..let me see if I can scrounge up a pic...hmm |
I asked this same question awhile back. Thats when all the Photshopping was done. I found them in GMPartsdirect.com for $485. Here is the link. I am not getting my hopes up though. It may say 4 wheels, caps, and 20 nuts, but there isn't a picture. http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results.cfm Part# 12371216 |
1 Attachment(s) sombody want to photoshope those on my car. |
1 Attachment(s) I thought that they were $600 PER wheel. I saw them at a junkyard and the guy wanted $1200 for the set. Strange that brand new they would be only $600. Don't get me wrong....I HOPE I'M WRONG. OK and for all you gold lovers out there. I know there's at least one or two others out there...hmmm? ANYWAY....here's what I was planning on doing if I got those.;) |
OK, well some of the wheels are in sets and some are individual. I think you guys may be right about that price, but I checked the PN in the new GMPP catalog and I couldn't find it on the "online" catalog which has the prices. Oh, well. I'm still not sure about that junkyard price though........ |
Hey, can you do that in red? Thanks, |
I think the part number listed above is wrong. I check it out on an S10 website and I came up with this part number 12498299 Check it out...it does show those rims and they are the same price 525 shipped (unless youlive in NC where they charge you tax) PS Could somone make the inserts a darker grey for me or maybe even black. Thanks! |
They look pretty sweet. Lets see em on a thirdgen! |
1 Attachment(s) just to show you guys.... i chopped this together a while back. didn't scale the rims in properly, but it at least gives you an idea as to how it would look. gm partsdirect quoted me $485 plus shipping ~$525 after shipping for a set of 4. but i'm in no hurry to buy a set. |
1 Attachment(s) red |
1 Attachment(s) black...hey, that's bright red, isn't it.....maybe I should go ahead and make it a faded pink...hehehe:D |
Anyone got a better pic? I flat one? |
that red looks sweet, anyone know what the wheels off of a 2002 anniv. t/a run for, those are the wheels im gonna be rollin on:) |
1 Attachment(s) :lala: |
mettalicirocz I was told they are the same as the regular WS6 wheels just that they have the center powder/painted black and the outer rim polished. I've been thinking about getting some of those for my car as well...the anniversary ones |
lol at that angle you can't tell theirs a curve in the spoke |

Originally posted by joshp14 i called GM last week and they were between $450-500 apiece. I posted it in another thread with the GM part number....but i cant do any searches to find the number and i lost the paper i wrote it on. http://www.paceparts.com/product.asp?0=293&1=294&3=924 |
are we talking about the same rims here? that link is not workin for me (the picture). I am referring to the 2002 Anniversary T/A Rims...all black...im not talking about the ZQ8 rims. |

1 Attachment(s) Who's jebus? :D Jk OK, the back wheel couldn't make it tonight. I hated gold at first, but now I love'm, plus they're not very common, so that's cool. More for me. |
that look pretty sweet, good job abubaca |

thats exactly what i was thinking earlier tonight.....next time i see him, most likely this weekend, i will ask him. we could bring his truck over to your place and bolt up one and see how they look on a 3rd gen |

Those are def some bad A$$ rims.... ive seen them on the s10s that come into work and i have loved them ever since... Im just wondering if they will fit onto our cars? And then another obstical would be all of us with 4th gen rear ends.... we need to get someone to get a hold of some of these rims and find out for us. |

1 Attachment(s) You, ROC johny I've been trying to find out more about those wheels since I saw them on an S10 in town 4 months ago. Thanks guys for all the info. I will probably get a set for my ride next year. Here's another bad photochop. |
1 Attachment(s) So your saying they will bolt right up to a 4th gen rear with no spacers or anything... hmmmm great find Johny!!!! How about the fronts... will the bolt up also? Also does anyone no the size for sure? ive seen a few sizes thrown up in a few posts but dont know if they are accurate, i work at a chevy dealer so i will def be getting a price on them today. Here is a picture that would be pretty easy to photoshop prob i have no idea how to do it but if someone would like they could try it... |
They WON"T fit a fourth gen rear without protruding from the wheel well like so many of the second gens where i live are "modified" to look like s-10's and thirdgens use an identical offset and bolt pattern so they can freely interchange wheels as they please |
Those look really nice, I like the black. |
as soon as paint is done i'm getting a set of these just can't pass them up. if any one gets them on before i do post pics please |
Oh man, for $500, I am so there!!!!! |
1 Attachment(s) Well, Photochop skilz, I ain't got. Here is the best I could do to my car. |

Back from the dead. Has anyone got any good pictures of these wheels on a thirdgen, pref a dark colored camaro and not that two-tone lime green abortion! No offense to the owner, just not my style, besides I have already seen those pictures. I found a set here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...e=STRK:MEWA:IT Looks like I will have to settle for stock wheels or a cheap equivilant for next year so I was thinking of getting a set of these and throwing some drag radials on the rears. Anyone have these on their car? thanks |
|
For info, these wheels are 16 x 8 inches with a near zero offset, that's a four inch backspace. Work fine on the front but with the wider disc rearend they will stick out some extra. Also there are two versions of the ZQ8 wheel, early flat spoke an later curved spoke. One heck of a good deal on these wheels though, and they are made in USA, first quality, complete with caps, nuts, valves. |
