YAY! Took the day off work cause I had to be here to sign for it and had some time to put it on too. Still have to work on fitting it a little tho.

87tpi 10-29-2004 04:25 PM

Looks good man, paint that thing aand it will be really sweet.
..

Rage13 10-29-2004 07:06 PM

thanks, but paint isn't going to be coming for a little while tho.. still need new doors and a Trans Am Aerowing Spoiler, but after that its getting a metallic blue that dodge is using(2004 color) for the body and silver on the ground-fx. should look real nice when its done :)

i'm having a little trouble trying to get the hood to sit down just right. the driver side is sitting up to high along the whole side and the passenger side is sitting up to high but just near the front, but the middle of the hood sitting at the right hight.. i've turned those 2 rubber stops all the way down and pulled out the 4 rubber triangle things along the fenders but still don't sit right.. :( so what did i miss?

How do you go about fitting something like that? Sucks that it doesn't fit right to begin with.

nick418 10-29-2004 08:10 PM

hood looks great!

Timz2882 10-29-2004 11:32 PM

did u adjust any of the rubber adjuster knobs in the front? if not mess with them a bit. also check make sure the little rubber piece that sit on where the fender bolts to arnt hold that back. if so u may need to trim where they hit or adjust ur fender/hood gap. my brother has 2 of those hoods and the both fitted really good . one need slight trimming and then other didnt, but the hood is great quality, best one out there.

Hi RAGE13.Hood looks good, but It'll be tight when its painted . I was just wondering if that is the stock nosepiece on your car?If not, where did you get it?it just looks like to me that its a little sharper angle or protruding a little bit more?Maybe I just need to get my eyes checked LOL.

Rage13 10-30-2004 12:08 AM

hood is great quality, just going to need a little tweeking like most after market stuff. rubber knobs are all the way down and the rubber parts on the fenders are out of the car right now.. i'm going to mess with it a little more tomarrow and if i can't get it figured out i'll just take it by my body shop and have them take a look at it

its the stock 82-84 nose, its alittle bit pointier then the 85-92
you can have it if ya want, i've got a set of 89 bumpers and ground-fx getting ready to go on soon :p

kretos 10-30-2004 02:01 AM

nice hoods, great quality

FSTFBDY 10-30-2004 08:10 AM

Should look great when done.

but why a red roll bar if your doing the car Blue

Dante93GTZ 10-30-2004 08:22 AM

Just wondering here, but if everything else checks out ok, I'd wonder if the car hasn't been in an accident of some sort. I've never seen a Cervini THAT far off before.

The fit on these hoods are the best you will ever find with any aftermarket hood, period.

I would lower the hood closure point, as it looks a little high on both sides. Hope this helps! :D

LUVmy92 10-30-2004 09:37 AM

I had to remove the rubber peices from the fenders to get mine to sit completely flush with the fenders due to the design difference from the factory hood. Mine basicaly bolted right on with very minor adjustmentsbeing needed. I think it took about 1 hour to get it perfect.

It will be awesome once you paint it!

roll bar will be the same color blue as the body when done, only used red because thats the only paint i had enough of to do it all in one color

FSTFBDY 10-30-2004 06:26 PM

I thought maybe you were gona go a red and changed your mind to blue...

Thats why I did my CE 8point in a metalic grey. to match the 4thGen dash and Int. Because I cant make up my mind on black again or HOk cobolt blue

V6camaroman 10-31-2004 10:06 AM

hood looks great man. thats a 3" right? im still deciding on a 3 or 4" for my 85z. yours looks good though. what was the price? car looks nice as well. i like the black on gold

Rage13 10-31-2004 11:29 AM

its a 3", after driving it around yesterday i wouldn't want anything higher. but thats just me.. the price was $400 for the hood and $100 shiping to south florida (shiping should be less for you sence Cervinis is in NJ, if you go with them)
i've always loved the black on gold camaros, but hate having a black car.. shows every little spot and bump (witch there are alot of  ) and no a/c makes it cook better then an EZ-Bake oven. but i still wouldn't trade it in for anything :burnout:

Rage13 10-31-2004 11:37 AM

grabed a few pics of the inside for ya

SnkSknrZ28: it took 4 days for it to get to me

Spdfrk1990 10-31-2004 10:34 PM

Did you notice a big difference from that cage.

Rage13 10-31-2004 10:43 PM

oh yeah  did the cage with cross brace and spohn sub-frames at the same time, and what a difference! body dosn't flex at all now.

IceManRS305 11-01-2004 06:09 AM

thats soo sweet... i wish i had a car to gut like that and make a full drag car... that would be so sweet... what are your plans for the car tho? kus i think the red roll cage wiill go good with the blue... and give it a thick stripe down the middle and youll have a 3rd gen Grand Sport... lol like the corvette grand sport of course.... :D :p

iroc87matt 11-01-2004 09:06 AM

my uncle got a hood from cervini's and he had the same problem. he did some shaving on the sides and did a few other things and it sits alot better now. car looks really good man, cant wait to see it when its done.

ES87iroc 11-01-2004 09:25 AM

What do you have in there?

(I am assuming you didn't need that cage for a 305/700r4 combo under your name. ;) )

Rage13 11-01-2004 05:55 PM

IceManRS305, building the car for autocross/road racing. you can also gut your car and drive it everyday, i do. only car i own :)

iroc87matt, went by the body shop today and found that i need to lower the middle of the nose alittle bit, after i do that it should all line up right

ES87iroc, 305/700r4 is still there for now, but i'm 2/3 saved up for my LS1/T56 :driving: can't wait till thats in

Zrated83 11-01-2004 06:46 PM
