power sander

What kind of sander should I use if at all for remove paint on my car that i want to re-paint with primer color and clear coat.

Should I go air powered or battery?

Should I use a dual sander?

Which brand do you guys prefer?

Any recommendations would be great thanks.

I have a portable sand blaster and air compressor at my disposal.

Should I bother with paint thinner like the air plane laquer remover brand?

Any suggestions?

to remove paint fast i use a mikata electric buffer with a 7" velcro backing sanding pad with norton 80 - 40 grit paper it will take you down to bare metal real fast. then i go over the metal with a d/a with 80 grit to be ready to accept epoxy primer. chemical strippings works but its is messy as all heck. and a regular da is fine just takes alot of time.

8 inch DA (mud buster, mud slinger, cookie duster) works very well too....you can get a MAC for like $150
