'91/'92 z28 wing on Firebird??? Any pics? I remember seeing on a long time ago but it looked like it wasn't wide enough for a Firebird. Anyone solved this problem to get it flush with the fenders?? thanks -Tas ------------------ -Tas '89 Formula WS-6 [soon to be Torch Red with black hood and headlights =) ] 305, TBI, auto, 14x3 chrome flat based open element with K&N, Milodon 160* thermo, functional Formula hood, cross-flow Flowmaster, '99z28 rear pipes and tips.... Here is a link to the topic that showed the picture of a Z28 wing on a Bird. But the picture won't come up any more. It looked great. I suggest e-mailing him to send it to you or to re-post it. Good luck, Lon. https://www.thirdgen.org/messgboard/...ML/000094.html |

I think those look pretty cool. I have seen that type of spoiler without the two center pedestels, is that some custom job or what? They look really good. https://www.thirdgen.org/messgboard/smile.gif |
I'm not that big of a fan of the wing either,, but it was cheap and my aero wing was toast. I'm questioning putting it (the 'maro wing) back on after I get done painting. I'v been thinking of the 91-92 aero wing but I don't think it would look as good with the 87 gfx/look. Any thoughts/pictures of that one https://www.thirdgen.org/messgboard/confused.gif [This message has been edited by deadbird (edited March 04, 2001).] |
you did exactly what I'm thinking of. the Z28 wing is cheaper than the aero wing. I like the '91+ aero wing too but I think the '91- wing is more functional. All 200+ MPH f-bodies I've seen use the '91- aero wing(not like we'd need it for that reason https://www.thirdgen.org/messgboard/wink.gif) I was thinking if it was possible to widen the Z28 wing to fit the firebird rear. ------------------ -Tas '89 Formula WS-6 [soon to be Torch Red with black hood and headlights =) ] 305, TBI, auto, 14x3 chrome flat based open element with K&N, Milodon 160* thermo, functional Formula hood, cross-flow Flowmaster, '99z28 rear pipes and tips....
