"Rear Drum Brakes to LS1 Discs" artical

Is this the only way it can be done? or is this just an older artical? I'm getting confused on who does what

Also what about the front? can i put C5 on there?

Currently, as far as I know, modding the axel flange on a drum rear is the only course of action when swapping on discs. Yes, you can put C5's on the front. Check with Ed Miller (ebmiller88) about possible fitment issues and/or parts and pricing.

I swapped my drums to disc using the tech article. Had no problems what so ever.

What about changing a disk rear to upgrade with LS1 rear disks?

BOTTLEDZ28 12-12-2006 08:36 PM

Mylilbowtie, right now, you should just stick to adapting the LT1 rear disc on your car. you wont have to deal with the Ebrake issues. Im not saying that to discourage you or anything but it will a whole lot easier on you. you do the mod, buy the hardware and install. you will have a properly working Ebrake when its all done too.

LT1 or PBR's would be easy. Check the following link:

Thanks for the reply Im going with the LT1 rears. Im installing a 4th gen rear in my 92 RS. But I was thinking it would be pretty nice to have the ls1 ebrake setup its alot better than PBR or LT1 far as ebrake system.
