Rotor caliper issue. Help....

The back side of my rotor is hitting the caliper case and rubbing metal to metal on my 4th gen conversion. I am wondering how to correct the problem, would I make a 1/8 spacer to put between the axel and the rotor? Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you use LT1 backing plates? Some 90-92 10-bolts with PBR's (which are the same as the 93-97 version) required shims to center the calipers over the rotor. Shims can be seen below in post #2 (behind the backing plate and on the floor):

Any pics of your set-up?

It's your axles. If you put 93-97 brakes on a 98+ rear the axles aren't the correct length. You need to get a set off an LT1.
Wish I had caught you sooner, I have a complete 3 channel swap off a 2001. Just joined this board specifically to sell it.

Hey, Ryan,

Welcome to TGO.

It would have been nice for the OP to have checked back in so that he could have detailed exactly what his 'fourthgen' conversion was.
