Forth gen wheels and brakes.
 

Sorry guys I've been trying to narrow this down. I'm going to be running 4th gen wheels and I'm also planning the ls1 brake swap... My question is will 1.5 wheel spacers work with this setup? I wont be running the new brakes for probably another month or to at the earliest so will the 1.5 also work without looking completely terrible until I put the brakes on?

The only difference in offset the brakes will make is the thickness of the floating rotor over the hub. Maybe 1/4 inch at most?

Im going to be running 17 upfront and 18 in the back stock C5 "Y2k" corvette wheels with a 4th gen rear and I was wondering if I would just run the same 2.25" adapters as I would normally upfront with either your LS1 or C5 kit. I just dont want to add much larger brakes only to weaken the wheels because the spindles and all are modified with adapters.

Hi James,
Good question, regardless of what wheels are used, the same modifications are required. The wheel spacers you have will work just as they are now. The kit (c5 or ls1) will move the wheels out by .300 of an inch per side. Normally I hear guys running 2 inch spacers, I suggest to run 1.75 spacers with the kits but your wheels may have a deeper offset if you have to run 2.25. I would go down to a 2 inch in your case. Thank you allot that was exactly what I was looking for! Do your corvette wheels have a larger offset then fourth gen wheels? I don't know why I thought they were the same? If I'm not mistaken you need 2" for fourth gen cars

Im pretty sure 2.25" is the norm for the Y2k's (from what I recall), but I have a lot of issues with rubbing. Making a right hand turn is not fun. :lmao:
