PBR E-Brake hardware Replacement Ok, I'm getting ready to start the rear disc conversion on my Z-28 which involves changing to PBR setup. I have most everyting to do the swap and I have new hardware for the calipers, my questions is this, what's the trick to installing the spring for e-brake on the bracket? Also, I've read about the set screw that has gotten some people with adjustment but I see no set screw, maybe it is missing, I' not sure. It would sure help to see some pics of these two items so I have an idea what to do. I've never messed with rear discs brakes so this is new territory for me and I don't a manual to cover these brakes. I've read a lot of JamesC posts on doing this which has helped but these two things have me stumped. Thanks for the help. |
Re: PBR E-Brake hardware Replacement Ok, I finally found the link that JamesC put in for just that procedure that EBMiller posted with pics, now all I have to do is give it a try. :search: |

Re: PBR E-Brake hardware Replacement Thanks for posting that up, all I have to do is wait and see if I need the shims for centering the rotor up when I mock it up. JamesC you are a big help. |
Re: PBR E-Brake hardware Replacement Well, just when you think you have it covered turns out I'm missing one of the little springs that hold tension on the piston. Probably been missing for some time, now I have to find one so I can continue. |
