Need help with my Delco/Blaupunkt radio

My car has the 16051921 Delco 5-band equalizer/Blaupunkt tape deck radio. It's the original radio, and the tape player is acting up.

As soon as I put a tape in, it pops back out. It doesn't even hold it in for a split second. But, if I do push it in and hold it there, it likes to go forward/backward and that's about it, but does not play.

I just took the unit out and took it apart, and the belts seem perfectly fine. When I rotate the motor gear, it moves all the belts and pulleys etc. What I do notice, is that when I push the clips and move the unit in (as a tape would when inserting), it does not hold the unit together/in.

I've searched on google and ebay for parts or anything relating the Delco part number and Blaupunkt part number, and I cannot find anything.

Any help here? I know of two places I can call up and send the unit too, but right now I rather try to fix it myself by getting correct parts or replacing the Blaupunkt tape deck part inside the radio.

Did you ever find help with your Delco radio?

Nope! Still not working right. A buddy of mine gave me two radios for these cars, I'm going to try and swap the tape deck from one of those in mine.

You're talking about the factory deck with the equalizer right? That didn't have anything to do with Blaupunkt...?

1 Attachment(s)
Its this radio:

Attachment 334196

I opened it up and changed the belts, and it was in fact a Blaupunkt radio.

It's a USA made Delco... still have no idea where German/China Blaupunkt is coming from.

I recently disassembled my blaupunkt unit and a seemingly similar unit from a newer 94 s10. There were a lot of differences, mostly in the cassette section of the radio.
