Idle mixture screws.

Does anyone know if there's any difference in the diameter of the idle mixture screws on the cc qjets.I found that one of mine had a stripped thread,so i took one out of my old qjet. The stripped one is alloy, and the one from the other carb,is steel. Both the same length and i just wondered if the tip diameter is the same.

Thank's,
Alicat.

I've never seen a difference between CC screws, but I haven't seen that many. I've never heard of a difference, though.

CC idle mixture screws are fine thread, non-CC are coarse thread. I hope that wasn't mixed up with your carb.

Re: Idle mixture screws.

Thanks five 7,Both sets are fine thread, and both carbs are cc,one 1985 and the other1983,but as i said one set are steel in a alloy throttle body, and the other set are alloy. The diameter looks to be the same at the tip.I only changed the stripped one.

Alicat.
