Fuel line crossover I have a basket case of 91 Camaro (originally an efi 305 car from VIN) that a previous owner threw a goodwrench 350 into. His fuel lines are sketchy. The original metal fuel lines still run up the driver side frame rail in the engine bay, but two rubber hoses and water clamps run under (and are sometimes rubbing against) the harmonic balancer. These hoses connect the original metal lines to the mechanical fuel pump on the passenger side of the block. What would be the best way to reroute this fuel line? |
Re: Fuel line crossover The regulator can be put on the drivers fender. Here’s a clean picture https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...b506285c0.jpeg |
Re: Fuel line crossover In the carb cars originally, they crossed over in the trans tunnel, just behind the vertical portion of the firewall; then ran along the right side "frame". A bit difficult to duplicate with the engine installed, but instructive I suppose. |
Re: Fuel line crossover I crossed mine over at the trans mount, then ran it up the passenger rail. I'll try and get a picture tomorrow. |
Re: Fuel line crossover Sorry its late, not sure if you still need it but here it is. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...3d588c4dcf.jpg The line wrapped in orange heat wrap is the fuel line https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...8eb97568da.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...adc698ce73.jpg |
