Hypertech Cooling Fan Switch As I go to order another Hypertech fan switch (due to a slip while fooling with the headers and breaking the one I have), I discover that they show to be discontinued everywhere I look. I did manage to find one, but good freaking grief. This has been my switch of choice over the past 20 years. Now what?? What if I break another one? Or one quits working? Or I do the unheard of and buy another third gen??? ... Well not really unheard of at all...... Really aggravating trying to find parts and run into "DISCONTINUED".... |
Re: Hypertech Cooling Fan Switch If it's a standard NTC (negative temperature coefficient) switch, just look one up with the same resistance specs in the niehoff or bosch catalog. As long as it fits in the passage without blocking it and reads the same resistance for any given temperature, you are set. |
Re: Hypertech Cooling Fan Switch I'd call them, I'm sure they have product that's not sold. They probably just don't sell enough of them to keep them in stock. |
Re: Hypertech Cooling Fan Switch I was in the same boat called Hypertech yesterday and they said that they had stopped carrying them eight months ago. Some problem with fans staying on after reaching set temp. I wanted a 4028 and none left, I have a new 4026 in the box still if you are interested. |
