What gear ratio is the common 16151348 MEMCAL

My vehicle has 3.42 gears and I'm considering bypassing the VSS buffer and connecting the VSS directly into the ECM. I'm using the very common 16151348 MEMCAL (that's the one found on Mike Davis' site).

If this MEMCAL is not setup for 3.42 gears, is there a way in Tunercat to adjust the speed?

Thanks

At Tunercat's web site they give listings as to what each .tdf file allows to be edited. So you just need to read thru that, and if it doesn't ask him to incorporate it into the .tdf before buying it. He seems flexiable, make that more then willing, about adding items to the tdfs.

I'm currently working with the $8D definition. There doesn't seem to be anything there to change the gear ratio. I see a "road speed constant", but is this the value I want to play with to change the ratio?

You don't set the gear ratio in the $8D code.

I'd like to know what ratio that memcal is setup for. I'm still using a VSS buffer in my vehicle (because I used to have a 165 ECM) and plan to get rid of it and connect the VSS to the 727 ECM. Chances are the speedometer will be incorrect. So my TCC lockup will also be screwey.

If the memcal is not calibrated for 3.42 ratio, then how can it be adjusted?

Am I making sense?

The speedo is adjusted by the VSS DRIVE and DRIVEN gears in the back of the transmission, not by the memcal.
