how to use ecm editor - - - - password??

If someone purchased a tdf file from tunercat why do you have to put in a password? can I enable different tables like target idle in open loop? If so is it very hard. Thanks

IF?
You have to register the editor, by paying for it. Then buy the TDF file you need.
Then edite away.

You can edit most calibrations using freeware such as winbin. Or just using some software like HexWorkshop.

I already have a registered copy of the tuner and I have purchased the 6E tdf file. The reason I say IF Grumpy, is because I just thought its weird that they let you use the editor for a 15 day trial period and not let you actually edit a file that you paid for.
I dont remember getting a password for my tdf file, only for the tuner.

The demo lets you look at the 42 tdf for free, then most folks pay for the registration of the editor and buy a tdf for their application or, addition tdfs as they need them.
You did things in reverse of what most folks do.

I had that problem too. The TDF file would ask for a password when I selected it. I recopied it from the ZIP file in the email from Tunercat and now it works fine.
