Can no longer connect to '165 ECU $6e adx Hey all, Hoping for an assist here. The other day I removed my dash to fix my blend doors. Got it all back together and now I can no longer connect to my ECU via Tuner Pro RT w/Moates ALDL 1 cable. I have confirmed continuity from ECU pin A8(orange) to ALDL Pin E, and from ECU Pin A9(wht/blk) to ALDL Pin A. I have also tested 2 different ECUs and 2 different Memcals, I reburned one of them as well. Suggestions on what might have gone wrong? Thanks |
Re: Can no longer connect to '165 ECU $6e adx Never mind. It is now connecting again. So weird... |
Re: Can no longer connect to '165 ECU $6e adx They are picky sometimes. I for many years (15+) have never had big issues connecting. It might take a few tries here and there. But last year the car gave me some issues. And it was a complete pain to get my ecm to connect. I'm talking 10-15 tries. And nothing changed in the vehicle. |
Re: Can no longer connect to '165 ECU $6e adx Well I am back to having major connection issues. If anyone could help me start at the basics I'd appreciate it as I am stuck mid tune for my new engine. What is required for a successful connection? Particular pins on the ecm and aldl? How do I enter TunerPro Rt's connection debug data stream window? Things I have tried: Verified grounds on all ECM grounds are under 10 ohms. Verified ALDL ground is under 10 ohms Verified continuity between A8 and ALDL B Verified continuity between A9 and ALDL E I just get mostly no connection, but at times it snaps right in and connects. Mostly does not though. I cannot for the life of me find Tuner Pros debug logs, but I was able to with ALDLDroid, and it seems both my ECMs are responding with 0 bytes of data for some reason. |
Re: Can no longer connect to '165 ECU $6e adx Turns out it was the USB portion of the ALDL Xtreme that was the problem. Replaced that and gtg again. |
