Camaro Tachometers for sale (All tachs have been repaired/fixed) work great! 3 Attachment(s) *** Let me know what tach you need because my stock is low right now, but still do repairs in my spare time. Let me know if you need a tach repaired. $55 including return shipping. Hello, I sell refurbished tachs/chips for 84-92 camaros that have been correctly repaired to fix the common problems of reading high/low or not at all. I replaced the capacitors if bad, the carbon resistors, and repaired the resistor array. I then calibrated the tachs using a square wave signal generator. If you want, I can put a 12 turn potentiometer in place of the (4-10) resistor to allow you to adjust the tach if needed for engine swaps and such. 90-92 (V8 & V6) tach chips are $60 shipped 84-89 tachometers are $65 shipped I will purchase your broken 82-89 tachometer with PCB (printed circuit board) or 90-92 chip for $10. It's not hard to disassemble the cluster. If you need disassembly instructions or have any questions, please give me a call. Thanks, Greg 318-402-1244 |
Re: Tach Repair service 3 Attachment(s) I occasionally have a 55k redline, 80psi gauge (bottom middle), give me a call to be sure I have one in stock. thanks, Greg |
Re: Tach Repair service Greg I have a 91. It was reading high then I sent it to a guy from here that advertised he could fix it. Well $80 dollars later it is now reading low. He says to check my car. What do I check? The EBL is reading the rite RPM's. I am getting another tack to compare it to. But mean while I have tried to contact him and he hasn't responded. Could he have installed a wrong Cap or something. It is reading about 1/2 on a curve. 400 at an idle and 2000rpm's when it is really spinning 3500rpm's. I try to do something rite and it bites me in the ***. Greg |
Re: Tach Repair service If you have an ALDL cable, you can hook it up and read your true RPM from a laptop and compare with your tach. It's possible he installed a component that has gone bad. I can look at it if you like, and if I find something wrong, I can replace it and send the chip back for you to check. I would only need the tach chip plugged into the bottom of the gauge cluster on the right side. Thanks, Greg |

Re: Camaro Tachometers for sale (All have been repaired) work perfectly Greg, I have a V6 cluster but I am dropping in a V8. Would you take a V6 tach as a core for a V8 tach? Or would I need to swap the whole cluster for this to work? |
Could you take a picture of the circuit board on the back? You shouldn't have to change the whole cluster to make it work on a V-8. Thanks, Greg |

Re: Camaro Tachometers for sale (All tachs have been repaired/fixed) work perfectly Do you work on 90-92 clusters? I took my 1992 cluster to a local Chevy dealership for repair, they sent it off to someone? the unit worked fine for a year, then the tach started jumping all over, would work for a while and then quit... |
Re: Camaro Tachometers for sale (All tachs have been repaired/fixed) work perfectly Yes sir. I replace all the questionable components on the IC board. I should have one completed next week or so. If you are interested, my PayPal is hottbubb4@yahoo.com and its $45 I'll refund $10 if you send me your old one. Thanks, Greg |

I have one with a 5500 redline. The one in your pic is for a v6 I think. They have the 80 psi oil gauge. Let me know if you want it. Thanks, Greg |
Re: Camaro Tachometers for sale (All tachs have been repaired/fixed) work perfectly I'll take it! Let me know the details. Thanks, Ken |

Re: Camaro Tachometers for sale (All tachs have been repaired/fixed) work perfectly Greg Hello, I have 2 tachs and can easily remove them. I tried soldering in 200kom across the 6-10 with little success. It just pegs out and stays there at startup. It is 88 and 89 tach. Can you repair both for deal? Also can you tes/fix a temp gauge or have any tips? mine just started pegging out as well. The temp and RPM read well in tuner pro though. |

Re: Camaro Tachometers for sale (All tachs have been repaired/fixed) work perfectly Bought a tach from Greg and it was in good shape, works as advertised; glad to have a working tach! -Ken |
Re: Camaro Tachometers for sale (All tachs have been repaired/fixed) work perfectly AWESOME! I have two or three of these Tachs that read incorrectly. I will look this weekend. |
Re: Camaro Tachometers for sale (All tachs have been repaired/fixed) work perfectly Hi greg, Do you happen to have a repaired cluster for a 92 camaro RS or do you just do tach repairs? My speedometer board fried when my speedometer pinned past 115mph. If you have a working cluster please let me know how much shipped to 18974 Thanks Mark |

All you have to do is turn the screw on the adjustable resistor until the tach reads correctly. But you need some way to verify it, like a laptop or timing light with tach reading. thanks, Greg |
Re: Camaro Tachometers for sale (All tachs have been repaired/fixed) work perfectly oh ok well i dont have any of those tools so i would just wait |
Re: Camaro Tachometers for sale (All tachs have been repaired/fixed) work perfectly Hey Greg, I've got a '88 TPI 305 tach with the tach needle pinned at 7k and the oil pressure needle is a little jumpy (don't know if that's just how it is though). How much to send to you for repairs? I can also send you a V6 tach if you're looking for more to sell. I have an older 350 tach with the recessed oil pressure gauge in it, but it's kind of rough and also stuck at 7k if you'd like that as well. |
Re: Camaro Tachometers for sale (All tachs have been repaired/fixed) work perfectly PM sent. I am definately interested in other tachs if they are in good shape. If the old 350 tach face isn't salvageable, I can use the circuit board off the back. thanks, Greg |
Re: Camaro Tachometers for sale (All tachs have been repaired/fixed) work perfectly Thanks to GC!! I just had 2 tachs fixed and they popped right in and sat a 0 RPM with Key on Finally and idled to 1000rpm with no bounce or wild swings!!!!!! |

Re: Camaro Tachometers for sale (All tachs have been repaired/fixed) work perfectly I have a 92 v6 that I am putting an old skool v8 w/ hei dizzy in and scorpner recommended you. this sounds like exactly what I need to keep the clean original look of my near perfect interior. I will be getting back to you in a couple weeks. |

1 Attachment(s) Here's the pic of the tach I wanted fixed, Gary. Attachment 273936 The redline is in a different place because it's out if a 5-speed TPI car (at least I think that's why it's different). That's why I wanted this one fixed instead of an exchange, since the motor I'm building should get good revs and I'll need the correct oil pressure gauge. |
