WANTED: good working air/smog pump Looking for a good working original or reman smog/air pump for my 83 LU5 T/A. It can come from any LG4, LU5, or L69 car, and Im 99% sure an LB9, L98, or L03 pump would work. I don’t have to go through emissions here in AZ, but I absolutely can’t stand when factory installed equipment is not in place. I’m not worried about the cosmetic appearance of it as it will be properly refinished, just as long as it works and has no bearing noise. I’m in PHX. Let me know what ya have! Thanks 👍 |

Re: WANTED: good working air/smog pump Not necessarily true. Remember that the cats that were originally installed from the factory were 3-way plus air. From Walker: This system was not very efficient and was phased out in the early '80s, when the current three-way converter was introduced. I assume that you are still using a stock cat? |
