WANTED: good working air/smog pump

Looking for a good working original or reman smog/air pump for my 83 LU5 T/A. It can come from any LG4, LU5, or L69 car, and Im 99% sure an LB9, L98, or L03 pump would work. I don’t have to go through emissions here in AZ, but I absolutely can’t stand when factory installed equipment is not in place. I’m not worried about the cosmetic appearance of it as it will be properly refinished, just as long as it works and has no bearing noise. I’m in PHX. Let me know what ya have! Thanks 👍

You could remove the guts from yours and give it new bearings.
It wouldn't pump any air, but would look the part.

I know about gutting it, but that is absolutely not an option. It must function properly to keep the cat happy.

Not necessarily true.
Remember that the cats that were originally installed from the factory were 3-way plus air.
From Walker: This system was not very efficient and was phased out in the early '80s, when the current three-way converter was introduced.

I assume that you are still using a stock cat?

Im aware of how a 3-way cat works. I’m running L98 TES and a full 3” exhaust with an aftermarket cat with AIR tube. Point being, I want everything to function as designed. There is no reason to gut an air pump, or eliminate any emissions equipment. It’s only a 14.30 LU5 car. Nothing is to be gained by hacking it.

Idk if you're still looking but I have an original and working air pump out of a 87 Iroc-Z.

I also have a original working air pump from a 87 TA along with a bunch of TPI parts.
Also, a good set of 198 heads for free, you pay shipping.
