Chevy 1500 engine swap questions?

so i purchased a 5.7L engine from a guy who was putting it in his 1993 chevy 1500 after his first engine siezed up on him. He said it was made by a company named Rhino and he only drove it about 25 miles, anyway its a reproduction of the origonal motor and i plan on it going in my Iroc, any thing that might stop me or i might run into? also what would be some big torque increasers i was thinking a comp cam and boring it out let me know thanks

You don't bore an engine to increase the power. You bore a worn engine during a rebuild to restore the cylinder wall surfaces.

I assume you have TPI. Put that system on a truck 350 and you'll have about as much torque as possible.

The most you'd be able to bore it is .040 inches, which is all of 7 cubic inches. As has been mentioned, the cylinder walls are fairly thin. You only bore it out enough to get the cylinder walls round again and if you can get away with only boring it .010 over - do it.

are you keeping it tpi the 350 would be tbi i swapped my 305 tbi for a 355 tbi its a easy swap that way mine was a 91 305tbi and a 87 350 (.30 over) there were no issues at all for me

.3 inches is HUGE difference. What you mean is .030 over. GM says .030 is the limit for factory blocks, realistically .040 is fine usually, the next step is .060. I've had a .060 over block bite me before - never going to run a .060 over block again unless it's an aftermarket block.
